2 Days
Shimba Hills National Park


Day 1 – Shimba Hills National Park
Pick up from your coastal hotel and drive to the Shimba rain forest. Embark on a birding drive in this park. Lunch at the only coastal Tree hotel. An afternoon drive looking for more species of birds. Dinner and overnight at Shimba Hills Lodge.

Day 2 – Mombasa
Early breakfast and depart the Lodge looking for more species of birds. You’ll be dropped back to your hotel in time for lunch.

2 Days
Tsavo East | Voyager ( Formerly Ziwani Camp)


Day 1 – Tsavo East
Leave your coastal hotel in a comfortable 8 seater minibus. Drive along the main Mombasa/Nairobi highway. Enter the park via Aruba dam, where lots of birds can be seen. Lunch at the Lodge. After lunch depart for Tsavo West. An afternoon drive in further search for birds. Dinner and overnight at Ziwani – Voyager Camp.

Day 2 – Mombasa
You’ll have a morning nature walk which includes a visit to the hippo pool and to see
Nature closer at hand. After breakfast, visit mzima springs where a lot of bird life exists.Later on depart the park with picnic lunch. Depart for Mombasa arriving late in the evening.

 

AMSBW 03;
3 Days
Tsavo East | Tsavo West


Day 1 – Tsavo East
You’ll be picked up from your coastal hotel in the morning. Drive to Tsavo East, the journey takes 2 hrs to the park – 120km from Mombasa. Morning drives in search for many species of birds. Lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon drive in further search for birds,enjoying the scenery and taking in the splendour that the African sunset immerses the jungle in. Dinner and overnight at Voi Safari Lodge or similar.

Day 2 – Tsavo West
You’ll have a pre-breakfast drive before you depart for Tsavo West where we commence bird search on entry. This park has a variety of birdlife both migratory and local. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon drive still looking for birds. Dinner and overnight at Ngulia Safari Lodge or similar.

Day 3 – Tsavo West/Mombasa
You’ll have an early breakfast. Later, you’ll have a further drive with a visit of Mzima Springs which is a crystal clear underground tank which hosts a lot of fish, and a lot of birdlife. Later on we leave the park, with a bird viewing drive. Lunch at a stopover hotel. You’ll be dropped at your hotel.

3 Days
Shimba | Arabuko Sokoke Forest


Day 1 – Shimba Hills Forest
Pick up from your hotel and drive to Shimba Rain Forest for birding and eventually arrive Shimba Hills lodge for lunch. Afternoon birding within Shimba Hills National Park. Dinner and overnight at Shimba Hills National Park.

Day 2 – Arabuko Sokoke Forest
Pre-breakfast local birding within the lodge; and breakfast, depart for Malindi. Have a full day programme visiting Arabuko Sokoke Forest and Mida Creek with picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at Driftwood Beach Hotel or similar.

Day 3 – Malindi/Mombasa
Today again, we will have a repeat visit to some of the already visited areas, Mida Creek as well as new ones such as Sabaki River Mouth and time allowing drive to Gongoni Salt Pans with picnic lunch. Later on we depart for Mombasa arriving late in the afternoon.

4 DAYS
Tsavo East | Tsavo West | Amboseli

Day 1 – Tsavo East
Picked up from your coastal hotel and drive to Tsavo East National Park. Drive for birding via Aruba dam arriving at the lodge for lunch. Afternoon birding in this park which has many bird species.
Dinner and overnight at Voi Safari Lodge or similar.

Day 2 – Tsavo West
Pre- breakfast local birding within the park and breakfast. Depart for Tsavo West where we commence on birding on entry. The park has many species of birds both local and migratory. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon birding. Dinner and overnight at Ngulia Safari Lodge or similar.

Day 3 – Amboseli
After an early breakfast depart for birding with a visit of Mzima Springs where a crystal clear underground water tank hosts a lot of fish and aquatic animals and many species Of birds can be found here. Later on depart for Amboseli arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon birding in this park which lies on the floor of the scenic Mt. Kilimanjaro. It offers beautiful sceneries for photography. Dinner and overnight at Kibo Safari Camp or similar.

Day 4 – Amboseli- Mombasa
After an early breakfast, depart with further search of birds enroute as you leave the park. Lunch at a stopover hotel. Depart for Mombasa arriving late in the afternoon.

5 DAYS
Shimba Hills | Tsavo East | Arabuko Sokoke Forest | Malindi


Day 1 – Shimba Hills
Pick up from your hotel and drive to Shimba Rain Forest for birding and eventually arrive Shimba Hills Lodge for lunch. Afternoon birding within Shimba Hills National Park. Dinner and overnight at Shimba Hills Lodge.

Day 2 – Tsavo East
Pre- breakfast local birding within the Lodge and depart for Tsavo East National Park, with picnic lunch boxes,enter the Park through Bachuma gate, after some quality birding, you will have Dinner and overnight at Voi Safari Lodge or similar.

Day 3 – Tsavo East – Malindi
Pre – breakfast local birding within the lodges and breakfast, depart with picnic lunch boxes for Malindi, with birding enroute. Head towards Mombasa, and then cut across to Kilifi looking for Brown-headed Parrots and Broad- billed Rollers on the Baobab trees along the good dirt roads from Mariakani. Arrive Malindi in the early evening, if time allows,we will have a quick look at Mida Creek tide allowing to pick up a few shore birds. Dinner and overnight at Drift wood Beach hotel or similar.

Day 4 - Arabuko Sokoke Forest – Malindi
After breakfast we will have a full day programme visiting Arabuko Sokoke Forest and Mida Creek. If time allows we will visit Sabaki River Mouth. All meals and overnight at
Driftwood Beach or similar.


Day 5 – Malindi – Mombasa
Leave after breakfast via Mida Creek and arrive Mombasa in time for lunch.
